Hi! My name is Niya, and I am a counseling intern studying at Trevecca Nazarene University. I am proud to be a part of the BIPOC community. I understand how culture, identity, and generational experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world.

My experience living with vitiligo has given me a deep appreciation for the journey of self-acceptance and identity. I know what it is like to question where you belong and to learn to embrace who you are. 

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate the challenges of growing, changing, and discovering who they are. I enjoy exploring and supporting clients through experiences such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, and identity exploration.

My approach is integrated, meaning I tailor counseling to fit your unique needs, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I understand that beginning therapy can feel scary, and my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.

When I'm not in session, I enjoy getting lost in a good book, exploring local bookstores, or taking peaceful walks through the park.
