Intern at Hampton House.

We are always looking for incredible interns to join our team. Whether you are pursuing a career as a therapist or work in the non-profit world, we have internships opportunities through both Hampton House and our nonprofit, Healing in the Margins. Read below for more information and next steps to connect.

Clinical Practicum & Internship

The Clinical Internship Program at Hampton House Counseling offers unique opportunities for graduate students looking to provide accessible mental health care to marginalized communities. Our hope is that you’ll learn therapeutic skills and techniques while also discovering your unique clinical identity as you start your journey within this field.

Through our program, we aim to provide graduate students with exposure and experience in conducting face-to-face and virtual sessions with clients, guidance from experienced mental health professionals through individual and group supervision, opportunities for connection and community with other therapists in the Nashville area, and learning marketing skills and techniques as well as other administrative tasks that come with being a clinician.

If you’re interested in completing your practicum and internship through our clinical internship program, we would love to chat! Please click the link below to fill out an application.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Nonprofit Internship

The Nonprofit Internship Program through our nonprofit, Healing in the Margins, gives students a behind-the-scenes look of how a nonprofit functions while providing an opportunity to create professional connections, learn more about content creation, and play an active part in significant community outreach events, including Nashville Pride. Interns get to contribute to the work of making a difference in BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities in Nashville.

Former interns have gained hands-on experience in essential nonprofit skills including:

  • Becoming familiar with nonprofit administration tasks and platforms

  • Creating social media posts to increase nonprofit awareness

  • Planning and executing community outreach events

  • Researching how best to serve and reach BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients and clinicians

  • Sharpening effective communication skills

If you’re interested in participating in our nonprofit internship program, please complete the application below. We will be in touch!
