Judy Chen
(she/her)
Clinical Intern
*I also speak Chinese
I’m Judy, a counseling student intern at Vanderbilt University. Born into a Chinese family and having lived across three continents, I bring lived experience with self-inquiry, identity exploration, and the search for connection. These experiences shape my belief that counseling is, above all, a human relationship that honors both our shared emotions and our unique histories.
I care deeply about supporting clients navigating cultural and personal transitions. I work with international students, immigrants, multilingual speakers, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and anyone exploring identity, boundaries, self-preservation, or the essential question, “Who am I?”
My approach is relational, person-centered, and existential. I hope to offer you my authenticity and genuine attunement to the present moment. I show up as myself and welcome you exactly as you are. I will meet you as both a learner and an ally, honoring each step of your journey.
